Sue’s story

I find caring for older people a privilege and I would not hesitate to go the extra mile to get things done for them.

Sue Hartell loves her role as a Community Support Worker, and it shows. The consistent, high-quality services she provides and her strong work ethic have not gone unnoticed by both clients and colleagues. Over the years, Sue has received numerous compliments from satisfied clients. One commented that Sue was like a breath of fresh air, always cheerful and never wasting a single second of her time as she cleans and tidies from the moment she steps inside the door.

Sue has worked for Southern Cross Care (Vic) for more than five years, providing daily care, support and assistance to many people with complex care needs. Sue relishes the opportunity to help make a difference to the lives of others in the community, including people living with dementia and their families. From helping clients to open jars to organising their wardrobes for easier access, Sue thoughtfully uses her creativity to ensure all the little things that matter are taken care of.
